Via Cerrato is one of the narrow lanes which lead into via Cavour, one of the two main streets in the historic centre of Alba.
Our suites are located right on the corner, opposite one of the most spectacular towers which constitute the glory of Alba.
Each of the two suites has two bedrooms, a kitchenette with fridge, dishes, cooking ware and a supply of coffee, tea and sugar, a bathroom complete with shower, all fully refurbished in 2014.
The bedrooms in the “suite argento” (silver suite) are very spacious, with external walls consisting of huge glazed areas which face directly onto the two streets, and each window gives onto a wide balcony with a table and chairs.
The bedrooms of the “suite oro” (gold suite) are slightly smaller, but they too have large windows and balconies.
The furnishing is in keeping with the philosophy of the B & B “La terrazza sulle torri”, with a mixture of old, antique and new, which has been highly appreciated by our guests. The refurbishment work was carried out by local craftsmen with skilful precision. The beds are generous in size with very high quality mattresses and pillows, as are the towels and bedding. The latter is laundered by ourselves to ensure a specific “sanitation” procedure.
The philosophy of “I balconi di Cavour” (The balconies of Cavour) aims at providing a sojourn in the throbbing heart of the city, in which guests can decide how to use their time and spaces independently, taking advantage of the proximity of high quality restaurants, or less formal ones, shops, cafés and markets. At the time of check-in we provide all kinds of information about itineraries, cuisine, restaurants and wineries. We are, of course, always available throughout the guests’ stay to make suggestions and supply whatever advice might be required.
Internet connection is free. Air conditioning. Free and safe parking is available nearby.
For a stay in a more traditional and family-run setting we can also offer “La casa nel cortiletto” (The house in the courtyard); a charming little flat, recently refurbished, in the heart of the Borgo delle Rane, which was once a Roman settlement and later medieval, inside a small, quiet courtyard; one wall of the bedrooms is an original medieval stone wall.
“I balconi di Cavour”, “La terrazza sulle torri” and “La casa nel cortiletto” are very close togheter, within easy reach of each other. Click here to see routes and distances in minutes.
